Why is art important?

I bet if you're asking this you're not very observant. Art is already all around us! Someone designed that font you're using to type hatespeech on X right now! Without art you wouldn't have any art to steal and put in your AI generators! But, there's more to art than bitching and moaning. It also helps the economy! Tourists came from everywhere to see the Rainbow Village. It ended up bringing in so much money the government changed their minds on shutting it down. In 2019 the arts and cultural districts grew 13.6%. For comparison the US economy grew only about 5.5% over the same period of time. The pandemic would hit and all of a sudden everything was (rightfully) shut down. We are still getting over the hard hitting affects of the pandemic.(National Endowment for the Arts par. 3). Tourists coming from around the country. Maybe some day, even the world. Bringing attention and helping the town in general to see the wonders of being a kid again.

The economy. I don't know if you know, but it sucks right now. It's been sucking for a while. But hey, you're a kid here. You shouldn't worry about such things. Instead worry about if you caused your parents divorce. I know I was!
